This group is the environmental watchdog during construction, transport logistics, operation and all other aspects of the Lightning Temple's carbon footprint, energy usage and other social and environmental consequences. Bettering ourselves as a living example to those around us will be the focus and drive.

RoHS (the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2008 or the “RoHS Regulations”), listed materials will be used as much as possible to satisfy world requirements. Fuel and other energy sources will be examined and will put the most sustainable solution to use, whenever/wherever available - working towards completely off-the-grid solutions. Any less-than-desirable substitutes will be evaluated for the least harmful/negative qualities and carbon credits should (will?) be acquired to offset any questionable materials or practices.

Materials, catering, and any other items acquired on the road should be sourced as carefully as possible to limit further consumption and waste. Locally made/grown goods should be first choice and tour budgets should be adjusted and planned for accordingly to account for this...

Smokers- please carry a used Altoid box (or something similar) to use as an ashtray at Burning Man. Leave no Trace!
Grey Water- how to collect it and dispose of it (I'd be happy to share info on this)
Portable composting toilets (Kachina Katrina has made one from a bucket with a lid- portable, doesn't smell. If interested in how to make this, let me know)
