Interactivation is the integration of interaction and personal activation. We have been building this collaborative musical instrument featuring an audio modulated tesla coil at the core of the 12' wooden frame. Six stations feature 48 buttons with unique sounds designed to play together for public participation at events such as this early alpha build video from Maker Faire.



We are currently finishing this work for full premiere in late 2009. Interactivation Stations are public interfaces for intentional transformation. In the egalitarian sacred spaces created by Lightning Temple dedicates, an Interactivation Station becomes a musical instrument to explore vibrations for listening, healing, and Cymatic forms. An upright bass coil is shielded by a structure for attaching pods for user controls, Cymatic tubes, etc. There are many opportunities for modular decoration.
